Description:
Meat soup/curry with lentils, barley and wheat. The meat preferably beef, but lamb or chicken could be substituted.
Serving Size:
1 large bowl
Ingredients:
1 box shan haleem masala (indian store), 1 cup daal, 1 cup barley, 1 cup wheat, 1 lbs meat, 1 ginger, 4 green peppers, 1 bunch of cliantro, 2 tablespoon oil, 1 lime/lemon
Preparation:
Heat oil. Add Shan Masala and fry the meat. Add 6-8 glasses of water and bring it to medium boil. Boil for 2-3 hours till the meat shreds. Run the mixture through grinder if not fine, away from liquid. Garnish with fine long ginger stems, chopped green peppers, lime/lemon juice and cilantro.
