Killer Chicken Flautas

Home style Mexican style chicken flautas

Ingredients:

2 breast chicken, cut into strips, 3 garlic cloves, peeled and diced, 1 onion diced, 2 tomatoes cut and diced. 20 yellow corn tortillas for rolling. Canola oil

Preparation:

In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of canola oil, and add garlic and onions. Cook on medium high heat till garlic is browned and onions are cooked. Add tomatoes and chicken. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or till chicken is soft. Remove chicken and shred into strips, keeping some tomatoes. Then microwave tortillas for 1 minute. Lay each tortilla flat and add 3 teaspoons of the chicken and tomato filling. Roll tortillas. In a separate pan, heat 1/2 cup oil. Add flautas and cook evenly on all sides till browned.

Story:

I invited myself over to dinner one day at my neighbor Veronica's house when I found out that she was making flautas. I didn't know how to make them, so I wanted to learn firsthand. I hope I can make them as good as hers..but now you know the homemade flauta recipe, so good luck.
